We love having fresh flowers in the house. A few buds on the table instantly brighten up a room, and purchasing a new bouquet each weekend has really become one of our standard errands. Each season, I have my personal favorites that I always gravitate towards – tulips and hyacinths are perfect for spring (if your tulips always wilt, throw in a penny – it will magically make them stand up straight!), peonies and hydragenas in the summer, sunflowers in the late summer and fall, and well, basically anything that looks bright & cheerful during the winter

I stumbled upon this South End gem when I was on a hunt for fresh lavender last summer (it was for a lavender lemonade recipe that proved to be WAY more difficult to find the ingredients for than I had originally thought…I digress). Every Boston girl loves Winston Flowers…especially its deliveries of artfully designed bouquets! There are several locations across the greater Boston area, but my personal go-to is on Newbury Street.
