Berry Lipsticks for Fall

Berry lipstick shades are the perfect way to add an instant dose of fall to your beauty routine. As a longtime fan of berry lipstick hues, I am always on the hunt for the latest and greatest variations in this color family. It seems that just when I thought I owned the best berry lipsticks from all my favorite beauty brands, a new blend is launched and I find myself buying yet another berry colored lipstick.

A few weeks ago, I spent time in Sephora testing out fall lipstick shades and ended up leaving with FIVE, yes, FIVE new berry lipsticks! You can imagine what my hand looked like after swatching all those lipsticks! Now that fall weather is finally here, I’ve been regularly wearing my new berry shades and love them all. While each one is in the berry family, they’re all different and very versatile. TIP: If you’re worried about feathering when wearing dark lipstick shades, invest in a lip primer or neutral lip liner and apply it on your lips before adding intense color.

If you’re also obsessed with berry lipsticks, or have never tried this color on your lips and want to experiment, I’ve rounded up my top 5 berry lipsticks for fall.

The A-Lyst for 5 Berry Lipsticks for Fall

Guerlain Kiss Kiss Matte Lipstick in Wild Plum

Not only am I a total sucker for Guerlain’s fabulous packaging and cute embossing of “Kiss Kiss” on its lipsticks, but I really adore the brand’s line of matte colors, like this Wild Plum. I often switch between wearing matte hues and shades with a glossy finish and this lipstick’s smooth matte texture is one of the reasons I was attracted to it. Something about sporting a matte lipstick feels so sophisticated and I know this color will be the one that I will gravitate towards when I want to feel little bit more elegant. TIP: in these photos, I applied this lipstick color first and then lightly topped it with the Bobbi Brown Luxe Lipstick in Hibiscius to add a hint of shine and deeper berry color.

Bobbi Brown Luxe Lipstick in Hibiscus

One of my favorite aspects of this lipstick is its silky smooth texture; it literally glides right across my lips! Ultra hydrating with the perfect amount of shine, I adore wearing this beautiful berry hue on an everyday basis. It’s the perfect shade to take you from day to night and for fair-skinned ladies, like me, it adds a pop of color without being too dark and over powering.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Two-Toned Lipstick in Chai/Nori

This hue from Bite Beauty marks my first foray into the world of double-sided lipsticks…and I’m obsessed! First, this lipstick essentially gives you two shades in one. While the two sides are meant to be blended and look gorgeous when combined, I’ve also really enjoyed wearing the colors one at a time! Second, the possibilities of how you can combine them are endless; you can apply the lighter hue first and then top it with the dark and vice versa, or you can apply one color on your top lip and the other one your bottom and then rub your lips together to blend. If you’re someone who likes options, this is the perfect berry lipstick for you!

Tom Ford Lipstick in Casablanca

Described as a reddened plum shade, I find this hue to be the most neutral berry lipsticks of all the ones that I tested out and purchased. It adds a beautiful color to your lips, but is not overly pigmented or glossy. I love the creamy texture of Tom Ford’s lipsticks, which are enriched by ingredients like soja seed extract, chamomilla flower oil, and Brazilian murumuru butter, and the way they moisturize my lips. This color is another great one for layering and I’ve been pairing it with the Bobbi Brown Luxe Lipstick in Hibiscus to amp up the hue and make it a tiny bit deeper for night. If you’re on the hunt for an easy, everyday lip color that looks professional and polished yet not too overdone, this is my top pick.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Dazzling Lights Edition Lipstick in Prune Avenue

This limited-edition berry hue is part of YSL’s holiday lipstick collection and it’s as festive as it is beautiful! Adorned with a shimmering design on its gold case, the packaging is straight up gorgeous, while the actual lipstick is a rich, luxurious shade of berry. It is incredibly striking! This is the perfect evening lipstick hue to dress up your date night look or special occasion style!
