Where to Enjoy Frosé in Boston

Have you ever had a glass of frosé?

Well, as a huge fan of rosé, I can tell you that frosé is the next best thing, and on a sizzling summer day, it may even be my beverage of choice over traditional rosé! Frosé, as you may have guessed, is a frozen libation inspired by rosé wine, and let me tell you, it’s delicious! Blending the perfect amount of iciness with the refreshing, fruit notes of rosé wine, this summer slushy is sure to keep you cool on even the hottest August day.

After first being introduced to frosé last summer, I’m beyond excited that more and more Boston restaurants have added it to their summer cocktail lists. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite places to enjoy frosé around the city; but be forewarned, this drink has serious Instagram potential, so get ready to capture the perfect snapshot, and of course, annoy your non-social media savvy friends! #FroséAllDay?!

Cheers!

The A-Lyst for Where to Sip Frosé in Boston

Frenchie

This cozy South End wine bar and bistro boasts two delicious variations of frosé and the most charming sidewalk patio to enjoy it! On a leisurely weekend afternoon, I relish coming to Frenchie and taking a seat outside to sip a few rounds of frosé. Diners can imbibe in the Frozé, a traditional frozen rosé blended with hints of grapefruit or the Frozignon, a frozen sauvignon blanc featuring an apricot flavor. I personally love Frenchie’s frozé and if you’re in luck, you may even get to sip it through an adorable pink flamingo straw (they were out of the straws the day I visited, but are restocking). I love the French-inspired look and feel to Frenchie’s patio and almost feel like I’m dining al fresco on a Parisian street when I’m relaxing on their patio with a frosty glass of frosé in hand. As the wall in the restaurant reads, “in vino veritas!” 560 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02118

Sonsie

When I moved to Boston in 2003, Sonsie was one of the first places I went to dinner. I love that it’s still so popular and has kept itself fresh and new by serving trendy cocktails like frosé! On a beautiful sunny day, grab a seat in the front café area of the restaurant to enjoy prime people watching and fresh air (they open all of their windows when it’s nice out!). Sonsie’s frosé is garnished with a lime and is oh-so-refreshing! 327 Newbury Street, Boston, MA 02116

Eataly

When you’re done eating, drinking, and shopping your way through Eataly (you can read more on the best way to navigate Boston’s outpost of this amazing marketplace here), take a break at La Piazza! This standing restaurant located in the center of Eataly’s top floor serves up a delicious frosé that can be enjoyed with bites such as fresh crudo, oysters, mozzarella, cured meats, and cheeses. Who doesn’t love a little cocktail pick-me-up mid-shopping trip? My purchases always seem a bit more justified after a few glasses of frosé! 800 Boylston Street, Boston, Ma 02199

Stephi’s on Tremont

When you’re looking for a casual spot to enjoy salads, burgers, and of course, frosé, Stephi’s on Tremont is your place! I appreciate the laid back vibe and comfort food favorites that I can count on Stephi’s in the South End to deliver, and the frosty goodness of their frosé has me hooked! Served in a coupe cocktail glass and always overflowing, I love pairing Stephi’s frosé with their lobster guacamole (two of my favorite things combined!) or yellowfin tuna tartare. 571 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02118

Bar Boulud

For dog and frosé lovers, run, don’t walk, to Bar Boulud! This summer, Bar Boulud launched #BarkBoulud, a super cute dog-friendly initiative that’s available on their terrace. While you sip refreshing frosé, your pooch can enjoy delicious treats like a watermelon pupsicle and homemade pup’ cup off the restaurant’s Canine Café menu. Oh, and if you’re snapping a few photos of your frosé, make sure to grab a shot of your pup dressed up with one of the dog berets that’s provided by the restaurant. This is quite possibly the perfect frosé experience for dog lovers! 776 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02199

Committee

If you’re headed to the Seaport District for after work drinks, the frosé at Committee will quench your thirst! Made extra icy to ensure it will stay cool even on the hottest summer night, I love coming to Committee for a pre-dinner glass of frosé. With so many amazing restaurants in Boston’s bustling Seaport area, it’s fun to make a night out of exploring them; drinks at one spot, dinner at another, and then close out the evening with dessert or a night cap someplace else! So, the next time you head to Seaport and are craving frosé, you know where to kick things off! 50 Northern Avenue, Boston, MA 02210
