Home Spotlight: My Favorite Bed Linens

Since we have spent more time inside and at home over the last year, we’ve tackled a number of “home improvement” projects. From changing our hallway lighting fixtures to upgrading our “essentials” (think glasses, towels, and kitchen tools), I’ve realized that even just the smallest changes can make a huge difference in how you enjoy your living space.

One of the best adjustments I made was replacing our bed linens. I’m very particular about the texture of my sheets, so I’ve always gone in person to touch and feel sheets to ensure that I’m getting the quality I want for our bed. Typically, I opt for a high thread count and cotton sateen fabric to give me that oh-so-soft, luxurious feel that I desire.

During quarantine, I kept seeing advertisements for the brand, Miracle, promoting bed sheets that were not only incredibly soft but also prevent bacteria. Intrigued and influenced, I began to read through the countless glowing online reviews about this product to learn more, eventually pulling the trigger to try them out myself. They offer a “30-night trial” with a free return guarantee if you aren’t 100% satisfied. With COVID-19, I knew I wanted to limit my time in stores shopping for new bedding, so taking a chance on this highly rated brand seemed like a great, low-risk option.

Miracle’s extra luxe anti-bacterial sheets boast a 500 thread count sateen weave and are infused with a natural silver that prevents up to 99.9% of bacterial growth. Between allowing the dog to sleep in our bed (I never thought I’d be one of those people…!) and seasonal allergies, we’re prone to waking up in the morning with a stuffy nose or sneezing. Come to find out, it’s actually common that those types of allergies are caused by build-up on your bed sheets (gross!). The natural silver in the sheets prevents this bacteria from growing, which in turn, can help clear up those morning allergies as well as acne, extra odor, and stains. Additionally, Miracle touts that you can skip throwing them in the wash for a few weeks because of this, but I prefer to still keep them on a normal laundry schedule. I wash them alone with warm water and then tumble dry them on low; they dry exceptionally fast.

These sheets are made with a USA-grown Supima cotton, which is super silky and smooth to the touch, making your body glide across as you move during the night. For my husband who tends to get hot while he sleeps, the silver in the Miracle sheets also helps to keep body temperature regulated. I, on the other hand, love to keep cozy under the soft top sheet and a number of blankets and never overheat with these sheets.

We opted for the classic white sheets, which run around $189.00 for a king set. They also come in a rich stone color as well as a soft sky blue hue. The price tag is definitely a bit higher than other sheets I’ve purchased in the past, but they really do feel ‘hotel-worthy’, making me even more comfortable in bed after a long day of working from home. It’s nice to feel excited about getting into bed and the smooth texture of these sheets definitely makes me look forward to getting a good night’s sleep. I am someone who needs a lot of sleep, so waking up well-rested does wonders for my mood!

If you’re in the market to upgrade your bed linens, these sheets are 100% worth giving a try.
